Neil, along with many other dogs, was rescued from a neighborhood in Seville, where they endured years of hell. In the beginning he was very shy and scared, until he gradually relaxed and then he was lucky because a volunteer took him with him and wanted to work on him. And that went very well; he has become a real sweetheart, who can now tell the difference between people who mean well and the others.
He is super social with other dogs, and now wants to cuddle, with the volunteers, with his caregivers, still with a shy heart but with willpower. He loves human contact and has learned to walk and walk on a lead. He needs someone with patience, who will work and live with him. He still has a lot to learn but he wants to, he doesn't need an owner of "oh God, dear", someone who feels sorry for him, no, he needs an owner who says: "Come on man, let's go for it", that will give him more security.
In the time that he has shown us that he does want to change, and it goes step by step. He would like to become someone's great love, but there is still a lot of work to be done together.
