A young girl was standing in front of the gate. She had come from La Cala on foot, with a box in her hands containing 5 puppies. The heat had made sure that everyone was completely exhausted and the 5 skinny little boys drank and drank when we gave them a bowl of water. She couldn't keep them anymore. Her French Bulldog and her Shepherd had had an accident. Seven new lives born, now what? She wanted to keep two puppies for herself, but no one wanted the rest, she said!
Why not sterilize? She looked as if she heard thunder in Cologne, no not that! She even had the images of her two dogs tattooed on her leg. She also thought the dogs looked good and she was nice to them, but they were very thin and were full of worms. Very often just ignorance, without knowledge or awareness. No ill will, not that, but that's just the way it is, that's the problem. The 'accidents' that result from this are too often the victims of these people who just act and don't think. Five special crosses in our midst. But first thing to ensure is that they survive.
