Fabienne's diary: A pile of misery and aggression?

 Sunday, February 28, 2021

When we passed the many cages of the killing station from where we recently took away so many dogs, this so-called very “AGGRESSIVE” curly hair was barking at us. His coat was one big dirty burdock, which no comb or brush had come into contact with for years. You shouldn't take this one with you, we heard, he is aggressive. But when everyone walked a bit further on and I sat down next to him, his aggressiveness turned into a soft whine. And from soft howling to sniffing and sniffing. From sniffing to a careful look. And so this big curly ball ended up with us.

He was stripped of his fur, millimetre by millimetre.  What must this sweetheart have suffered.  Having to get through every day with a pulling, smelly, overgrown coat, not to mention the terrible cages in which he had to live.

Boise is a sweet dog once you get to know him, but now he must learn that we have good intentions. His evolution is positive, he has a sense of life again and has been released from his long overgrown coat. He will become a good and delicious friend if you teach him to discover everything again. For years now he has only known a loft and a buddy who, just like him, had to survive in the same circumstances.

We see him improve every day, as you can see in the videos. We are so happy that he came along, that we did not give up and looked through the barking, and saw a dear and best friend for someone.
