Fabienne's diary - Heavy weather causes floods, also here in Algeciras

 Sunday, March 7, 2021

Early this morning the umpteenth bomb hit ... The storm - which knows no borders - has flooded many shelters, also in Algeciras. You may say a disaster, but the dogs and cats are safe. Let's hope they don't get sick. Because the last flood of January 8th ultimately cost us 21 lives.

Paky and her team have done everything they can to make everyone safe, but the damage is incalculable and it is still raining. For the time being the water is not leaving either. The fire brigade is not coming because of the many houses that have also been affected, it is incalculable. But we also have to go through this again.

Our Tizon who was staying in the office managed to crawl onto the windowsill in time, the poor animal. The smaller dogs, however, swam and swam, a miracle that they were saved. Our Copernico, Milano, Tari, Danza and Maito ... Ablenda and Bruges, ... All could have died but are still alive, ... It could have been much worse. Hoping for the blessing that the storm may end soon, ...

The damage is incalculable .... fridge, washing machines, heaters, freezer, appliances from the clinic, complete offices,

Blankets, food, all medical equipment, all electrical equipment ... it is all lost ... it is terrible.
