The story that was very dear to all of us was that of the two Mastins who were in a killing station and we were not happy about it because ... One of the two was able to come with us but the other could not. When they wanted to pull one away and the leave the other behind, one of the two Mastins put his paw on his companion. It affected us all, all of us. Then I said that we would leave them both and would go back the next week to pick them up. It ended up being 10 days, because there is always something going g on here!
But when we went back that station that was to close within two weeks was again full, this time with many Galgoots coming from the hunt. We have all of them with us, because this time we did not leave a single dog, everything was empty again. The two Mastins are dogs that have really been through hell and are not the easiest. And... it is a married couple but they are two males, two males, brothers or a married couple, ... We have just discovered that!
Whatever they are, they are safe with us. We are now working intensively to make them feel at ease. They are two whoppers who have not had much luck, but slowly but surely this will be fine, and we are looking for their happiness somewhere where they are welcome.
Two big bears, they are not young, and they have never known happiness. But that is about to change!
