RIP Sweet Peterpan
Many of the sweeties that come into our midst are never seen by you; others we lose just before they are about to leave. And those are moments that always hurt. Our team works hard to provide everyone with all necessary care and more; our volunteers work with us day and night. They also feel deeply and do everything so that these dogs and cats get a worthy second chance.
It is impossible to describe the condition in which we sometimes get the dogs and kittens. The pain and sorrow, the lost life, the time they lost, we can sometimes not make up for. Today we lost another one, our Peterpan. He was dumped in the killing station with a lot of health problems. Straight away we really did everything, pulled out all the stops, but we didn't win the battle. It makes you cry, because he wanted to live so badly, and he did for a while, but today it was no longer possible. Our vet no longer considered his life viable.
In the past few weeks, we also lost some puppies and some kittens. Despite all the effort and love we did not win the battle. There are some days that we prefer not to live through, but unfortunately they are the harsh reality.
