Fabienne's Diary: T-Rex, a dog without any luck

Tuesday 17 August 2021

Bringing a dog into your home is not a simple matter, T-Rex is an example of that. He was the dog that sat growling and snorting in a corner of a terrible killing station.  The way they treat animals there is in itself already a traumatic experience, but T-Rex was previously the dog of a woman who lived alone, who never saw anyone else, nor ever went for a walk with him. He only knew his house and the four walls around it.

T-Rex. He was given this name as a joke, because he is anything but big and impressive.  But what this poor wretch has endured is anything but funny. He is fine with other dogs, but he is - the translation is 'piss pole' - which is to say he is the misfit, I think.  We really need to see who we can put him with. He can't be touched, because he bites, he was terrified of people he didn't know, and still is.

Step by step we are trying to show him a part of a new world for him, but he finds it all very scary. This little 9-year-old sweetheart needs a patient person who will work on him, commit himself to him so that he can still have a little life. He has never gone for a walk before.  It all doesn't speak in his favour, but he also deserves a chance.
