How dramatically has our life changed this year. We had wanted a dog for years, but one way or another we had not dared to. Well, even so we went so far as to make preparations, for example by moving to a wooded area.
And then we saw the pictures of Olé (now Ollie) early this year on the ACE Foundation website. An endearing dog that fitted well in appearance and size to what we had in our minds. The text on the website was the deciding factor. "We just do it," we thought. Then began the long wait because it took at least another month before we could hold Ollie close in our arms. Meanwhile, we made further preparations and we were well supported by Foundation Ace.
On Sunday, February 14th, so symbolic it is almost impossible, we stood nervously in the hall of the airport. Every time the door opened my heart made a little jump, he would finally be there? Finally the last benches came through and we could finally see Ollie. How cute he looked ...
Since then we have been inseparable and we can not imagine a life without Ollie. And because it's worked so well when we have recently added a second dog, Adreana (now Saartje). This time it all went very smoothly and we were even able to welcome Saartje to our home within two weeks.
For the first time we have been on holiday with our dogs, that was fun. Together we ran along the tide line and played in the woods. Thank you!
