The Netherlands has been in a turmoil after a dog was thrown out of a car last week in the area of the Veluwe ..
Why does this not surprise me, I asked myself? Well, let the answer be clear, after all, we know nevertheless of the doings of dog owners, among others, in Spain that want to get rid of their dog ...
But, on the other hand I'm glad it still affects me, and that I'm still a little surprised. If I no longer felt like that, then I'd worry about my attitude to life.
I am beaten down by all the suffering in the world, either for humans or for animals, no I'm not happy. But the thing is that for me it means that I choose more and more to live in my own little world ..
Already I wrote a song in the eighties about my childhood, called 'my own little world', the world of open-mindedness, playing with the animals and not worrying about tomorrow, but also about the world that is there no longer. I wrote this song after the birth of my nephew, so take just a moment of your own little world, because before you know it's over ...
Therefore, dear animal friends this is how I can manage to enjoy the little world around me, my three crazy cockers, my horses, my garden, in short, my everything. But sometimes ... I wonder what this world is coming to. And that's why my favourite number is Michael Jackson's "What have we done to the World" which I already performed once with my little spaniel on the Ace day in Eck en Wiel ..
And that's dear people, why I still wonder what the hell are we are doing to this earth ?????
Therefore I find the Ace slogan .. so memorable - 'You can not save all the dogs in the world, but you can save the world for one dog' .. Of course I'm not going to sit back and do nothing, but if I see three pairs of faithful eyes looking at me or I get from this or that one another lick on my cheek, yes, I can just move forward again ... in my own little world ....
In my world Jo, Jody and Marie Sol live in the house and outside behind the house are the rest of my animals .. I call them my Grunnings ...
And yes, we humans still have a lot to learn from the unconditional loyalty and gratitude of all our animals, yes, we humans have still a lot of learning to do .. Monty Roberts, a trainer who work with so-called difficult horses has a motto:. A bad rider does not hear his horse cry out. A good rider needs no words, at the most a whisper.
This motto of course is not only for horses, but I'm just giving it as an example ....
My dogs sometimes whisper something to me, and to keep this lighthearted: FOR COOKIES !!!!!
Dear greetings from my dear brave Jo, my happy, joyful Jody and my little princess, Marie-Sol ..
Tieske Nieland.
