Alay now Suka
In late October Suka (Alay-Ace) came hurtling into our lives. A large young lady cross-pointer of 10 months. She'd been in the shelter for 7 months. I call her a crane fly because of her long legs hat she doesn't always seem to have under her control. She's a young animal. She is evolving, she's learning to follow scent trails and goes to puppy training and runs for an hour (to follow scent trails) on man-trail and puppy training and runs twice a day for an hour in the fields around our house.
She listens very well but is still shy and reserved with others. She is very affectionate and prefers to lie in your lap even though she doesn't really fit.
She finds her place easily with our four huskies. Even though these dogs live outdoors and she is really our domestic dog, she plays with them every day. She is very different from my previous Ace dog Tempesta, whom we recently had to put to sleep at the age of 14. Tempesta was quite modest and sympathetic. With this dog we have a challenge and she keeps us moving. She is a big, cuddly rumbustuous bear. We will see how this Spanish beauty develops.
