Bo and Django were puppies from a greyhound mom who was pregnant with a non pedigree dog. The defenseless females are required to produce over and over again and the hunter has no care for their welfare or safety.
When he saw that the puppies that had arrived in the world were not pure bred greyhouds, he rejected them and just handed them out to anyone who would take them. When an acquaintance of ours in the neighborhood alerted us that one of the puppies had burn marks on his body, we took the last two puppies still remaining.
Bo was the worst of all, but Django was not good either, both dogs were extremely malnourished. They are now with us and gradually their physical and mental scars are healing. What exactly happened to them we will never know ... but the dogs were rescued just in time .. both are up for adoption.
