A Narrow Escape for Sweet Blimpy

Blimpy was rescued in the nick of time, though others were not so fortunate. She lived quietly with a pack of dogs on wasteland. They gave no trouble to anyone. Some animal lovers fed them and put out water for them and it was all peaceful. Until the people from the killing station turned up to 'get them out of there.' By which they meant take them, keep them for ten days and then kill them and get paid. They need to keep their numbers up so that the State will pay the maximum.

These evil people fed the dogs too - with food laced with an overdose of sleeping pills. Of the group we could only save Blimpy and Lompy. Poor Blimpy is still very scared of people though we are teaching her that there are plenty of people who love dogs. Day by day she is getting more confident but we would love to see this pretty girl in a home with gentle people who can guide her and make her feel safe so she can blossom and become the happy, secure dog she deserves to be.
