This handsome 9 months old was already about to be put to sleep in the killing station. He cannot walk well and his owner did not want to spend a cent on him. Fortunately we were able to prevent this and Tobbe is now safe with us in the shelter. Before he can be operated on he must first get better, he is skinny, We are going to do our utmost for these sweet and social fellow ... The operation that will best help Tobbe costs € 4000. Who can help us with that? Who can help Tobbe and give him a loving and caring home? He has so deserved it after all the misery he has already experienced in his short life.

Our week is over ... the situation is not improving and we remain here in the grip of Corona. Yet this does not change our daily worries about so many dumped 4-leggeds ... it just keeps going on ... and we do what we can ... even though we are working with few people and much too much work ... we remain full of hope... difficulty is also ... πͺπΌπ

Our Sara,
What you've been through ...
You came to us trembling, hysterical when a stranger came close, when there was a loud bang or a car passing by.
Now three months later ...
We see a jumping deer in the field, a cuddlebut on the couch and a dog that finally dares to wag her tail again!
She is certainly still anxious regularly and she keeps a close eye on what I do, but Sara how well you are doing!

Our Hulk was impossible with other dogs in the Refugio .... he stayed for three years because we were careful about his adoption. But no one wanted to give him a chance until .... that one owner came along. Yet another proof that we should never give up.

She was the Staffie everyone knew, a wise mutt who strolled home every day where her body faithfully curled up at the front door. She received little or no attention but she was faithful like no other. She continued to honour her owners from the bottom of her heart.
Now that Mieke was getting older, her owner wanted her gone, and the new neighbours certainly did. That's how this sweet wise dog ended up with us.
She is fond of everyone, a good soul, a good animal, who certainly deserves a loving, cherished future.

They are back, our delicious brownies, in a very handy box! You can order them from now on at brownies4ace@gmail.com until November 15th. In the first half of December you can pick them up at collection points throughout Flanders (see below). You can still register as a collection point. Ordering for your family, friends, neighbours, colleagues and boss is also allowed. We count on your sales talent!
All proceeds will go to our dogs and cats in the refugio, so please do it!
