Three little siblings looking for a home

Some of the cats you've seen on this blog have already gone to their forever homes and others have been reserved and will soon be on their way. Others, though, are still waiting. Who knows why some kitty cats get noticed more quickly. There may be all sorts of reasons but one thing is for sure, these little ones are just as deserving and just as beautiful. Our Coco, Captain and Cassis are among those who still need a home. Their other siblings were adopted already.

Captain. Abandoned with his siblings and his mum when they were only one day old.

Cassis was also abandoned with her siblings. They are all one year old now and longing for a family.

Coco is another of Mama Celestes babies, dumped when they were just 1 day old.

Leo (Lionell)

Leo loves Gerard and Aram and they love him

Today when we did a follow up home visit, we agreed that everything is going well with Leo (Lionell 11524) and his new owners. Very difficult to find any fault and what's wonderful for Leo,  Gerard and Aram run a lovely restaurant (The Dining Room at Wernhout).

What a wonderful sweet dog Leo is!
He loves his owners who love him too.

Leo needed to get used to the idea that we were in his living room, but quickly realised that it was all OK. He listens to perfect his owners. Of course Leo is not allowed in the restaurant, so when his owners are working he lies on a mat in front of the closed door.

He is regularly taken out for a nice walk in the countryside and gets along well with all the people and dogs he meets there.

He plays and swims with his girlfriend Boxer and walks nicely off the lead. Leo has certainly fallen on all four paws, or as we say in Dutch, he's fallen with his nose in the butter and is forever faithful to his new owners!

Cosito is 14 years old

A little greyer round the snout, but stilll enjoying life

Hip Hip, hooray !!!!! Our Cosito is 14 years old and happy and he loves with his squeaky mobile toy.

Our Cosito, 14 years! His snout has become somewhat grayer but Co is still very playful, still frolics around on the street and also runs around like crazy with his young Romanian girlfriend Riva.

Greetings, Maya

It's lovely outside in the sun

Nothing nicer than forty winks in the sunshine

Saskia

Saskia is now in foster care in the Netherlands and visits are welome. She is still afraid of men and children and her new owner will have to have patience and help her with this. She gets on well with other dogs and at home can be good with cats.

She is very well behaved in her basket and runs well with the bike, but she can't be let of the lead yet as she has a very strong hunting instinct. This will need some training. She is good in the car and loves getting hugs. Her foster mum sent this photo -

Saskia sitting outside for the first time with me. Having him on a loose long lead works for me as I can't let him off the lead completely.

Mobutu: no longer welcome

Mobutu - no longer wanted

After eight years, he is no longer welcome in his family. He was the French Bull dog, so popular some years ago. And he was "their" dog, but now eight years later the family have moved to an appartment. They decided that of their three dogs, Mobutu was the one who should leave. He was the oldest. For them it was an easy decision, however it is so hard for the for the poor little bull.

His world collapsed in an afternoon. His whole familiar world is gone. His owners have stepped away from his life. He looks sad and dissinterested as he stares out at you. He is quiet and peaceful and if you talk to him he is grateful, but he is lost, so lost, and it all feels so very sad ...

An 8 year old bulldog, with as sweet and endearing character as you could find, social and sweet with everybody, human or animal. Who gives this lost soul another chance ... he deserves it so much.

A lost soul

Where am I? Where have my family gone?

Sad and confused

Abandoned after eight years

Please. Will you be my new family?

When things go wrong the dogs suffer too ...

One of the other poor dogs

The woman of the house left so the gentleman started drinking. He became an alcoholic and started taking drugs. His life rapidly went downhill. One of our volunteers was told about him and that for over a week some dogs had been all alone in his house, abandoned to their fate.  But then after a week he surrendered the dogs to us.

There was a mummy with six little ones, only a few days old, another chihuahua and a pit bull - after consultation with their owner they were all allowed to come to us straight away. The dogs had been well cared for before all the misery began and they must have struggled lately.

The whole house was covered with the marks of Satan scribbled on the walls, it was also filthy and dirty. The smallest dog that we have in care, had only mud in his stools on the first day, unbelievable but true! The mummy dog was devastated and had an unprecedented hunger. All are now in good hands. Let's hope that everything will be fine with them.
