One of the three sweet puppies - their mum will be missing them
Three little puppies - suddenly yesterday they were expected to fend for themselves.
Late last night I received another phone call: it put me on the spot, three little puppies had to go, now that they were eating for themselves. These people's bitch had given birth to the pups, but yesterday the owners took them from her and were saying they had to leave.
I tried to persuade the lady to let stay with their mum, just until they were bigger, but she refused. So we picked them up. She handed them over without the slightest shame and we put the pups in our car! Such small delicate dogs, who still have so much to learn from their mother. To say nothing of how the poor mma will feel.
We will do our best to help them survive, but we won't be sure for a few more weeks. They are real mini dogs who are now relying on us for their continued existence. If we're lucky, they will have a beautiful life ahead of them. They are not yet available for adoption. Keep an eye on the website.
