The mouth masks are available for € 10. Various fabrics are available. The proceeds of this go entirely to our dogs and kittens in Spain. If you would like the order information about the masks, please send an email to myriammerckx@msn.com. They can also sent to the Netherlands, of course excluding shipping costs.

These mouth masks can also be picked up at the arrival of our dogs in Overijse.

We bought Gizmo, like so many others, free from a killing station. His new owner says: "Settling down here is going incredibly smoothly. He feels that he has found his new home. His pillow means nothing to him and he chose our Jack Russel's crate, but she has no problem with that. She used to share her crate with her brother too. Incredibly grateful I am. Mighty beast. "

❗️CALL FOR HELP❗️

My daughter and I (Chantal Dejonckheere) would like to have contact with the brothers and sisters of our adopted dog through ACE / SHIN. She is one of a litter of 15 (!!) Labrador / Rottweiler crossbreed puppies. Unfortunately, two of them did not make it ... 🙁 But the other 13 did. 🙂 Their names all started with "O". One was Olivia. Our dog was Otilia, now Lady. We adopted her around January. Here is a recent photo, and the link to what she was like as a puppy in December 2019. 🙂.

She is a very happy, sweet, loyal and playful family dog😊.

Abby is a real ball dog, if she can play with the ball, she won't stop. She also loves toys with squeakers, I think she holds the unofficial world record in demolishing toys with squeakers. ;-) Once she has taken out the squeaker, she will spend hours with all the pieces of fabric, rope and material. Nothing is forgotten, really hilarious!

She was about 8 pounds when she came to me last year and is now about 15 pounds. The vet thinks she is a beautiful healthy dog ​​and Abby is happy every time that she is rewarded with cookies after check-ups / vaccinations.

She can stay alone, but loves it when she can go with me everywhere and she keeps making new friends. All in all, she really is a super nice dog. The whole family loves her and she is regularly picked up for nice walks in the woods or on the heath.

Mimo ... His name suits him so well, it means hug, sweetheart, baby, it's a little word in Spanish. Just looking into his eyes will tell you enough. He's just a black pearl that loves nothing more than hugs and to give his friendship, ...

He was dumped by his owners after they found work in Barcelona and there was no room for him in their new home. Mimo is more submissive to other dogs, a bit of pushover, he immediately surrenders. As long as you are sweet he is too.

He lived in a family with children, likes to go for a walk, but just as happily sits on the couch with you, lazing around. He loves his walks, getting attention is his greatest gift. Otherwise he wouldn't be called Mimo, would he!

Who will take this gentle little bear in his heart? You will not regret it !

In memoriam Raya ...

Last week we said goodbye to Raya. She had been suffering from mitral insufficiency for a while but had another great summer. However, things went downhill quickly in recent weeks. In August we celebrated her 15th birthday. She was with us for 3 and a half years.

Luque is all friendship, a Podenco dog through and through, energetic, playful, alert, funny, always in a good mood, a sweet dog who's looking for a family that will like to take him for a walk, and then let him lie down on the couch. Who will get to know him as Podenco and learn about this wonderful breed and get an insight into who they actually are. Luque is a dog that was on death row and is now waiting with us for that one owner or family that goes for him, but not just for a while, but forever. Who will gives sweet, cheerful Luque that nice home?

Uma: four years is too much

On the left you can see little puppy Uma, four years ago when we rescued her. And on the right, the handsome Podenco lady she has become. As noble, gentle and deserving as all her race, the maligned and abused Podencos. Our dear Uma has been with us for too long, more than four years. Through absolutely no fault of her own or ours. Some dogs just get left behind and slip further and further down the website. Uma is still a young dog. She still has a whole life to look forward to. Who will take her into their heart so she can spend the best years of her life happy and cherished in a loving family.

In Memoriam Knut (ACE Juul)

Last Monday morning we had to say goodbye to our dear Knut (ACE Juul) with great sadness. He'd turned 14 years! The last days he did not want to eat anymore, his liver had given up (he had been taking pills for his leishmania since the beginning, and a high dose in the end) We will miss him enormously, a dog with a huge heart for us and the kids. We loved him! Thanks. 

“When you were eight years old you came to us, sick, thin and weak. If we could give you another good year, it would be good. You really blossomed and our one year together turned 6! Dear Knut, we will not soon find a dog with such a big heart. How we are going to miss you dear big polar bear !! ❤️🌟✨🌈 ”
