Susanna
Fabienne writes ...

She was a real house dog. That’s what we were told. She had been adopted as a puppy by a family somewhere in the village, but when she became pregnant the fun was gone and she wasn’t allowed inside anymore. Susanna wandered in the neighborhood looking for food, her belly became more round and she was looking for a warm place where she could give birth.

In the end she delivered 6 little ones on the side walk, close to the place where she used to live. People thought this was endearing and gave her cardboard and a few blankets. What now? The first weeks passed by and people came to look at the pretty small puppies but when they started crawling they had to go! Get lost!

Three of her little ones were given to neighbors. The left over ones were brought to the killing station where found them and rescued them. We have noticed what a sweetheart Susanna is, how grateful and caring she is. She is so happy with a basket and a protective person around her and doesn’t know what to do to show us how grateful she is. Her little ones are safe now. Now we can slowly look at the future……

Susanna and her puppies. Safe with us.

A loving grateful dog.

So happy with a basket and with our protection.
