Who will help our beautiful Amigo?

After eight long years in a cage, sweet Amigo was so happy to be with us.

Amigo spent eight years in a shelter - who is going to help this wonderful sweetie?

He was born somewhere within a Spanish family, but once he was no longer a puppy that was it. They dumped him in a shelter. So his young life was spent in a cage.

Eight long years. Now he is a senior podenco - we couldn't leave him there. We took him in.

He is a cheerful, happy doggie. Unfortunately, most people do not see it. They notice the beautiful ones, the fluffy ones and the sweet little ones who jump up cutely and demand attention. And these ones find forever homes very quickly. But a dog like Amigo sees his hope of happiness pass by him.

Eight long years.

When he got here he walked around, getting a friendly greeting here, a hug there. He didn't know what had happened to him he was so happy. So you can imagine how ecstatic he'd be should a new boss turn up, someone who would give him a warm basket, cuddles every day, walks in the forest and lots of love and attention.

So let's all work to ensure that this dear Amigo can go home. There must be a heart beating somewhere for this special, forgotten dog. That 'someone' doesn't yet know what a pure, loving, loyal friend is coming into their life. That's what he is, Amigo. You heart melts when you see him such a pure spirit, so infinitely grateful. Amigo is halfway to a warm home !!!

Running around, getting cuddles. Bliss for a dog who'd been confined for so long.

Getting used to the attention.
