Jack had to live in a campo with Almejita.

Here they lived together and they only had each other, day and night, every week, month, year. Because the family only came once a week to give food and drink, a pat and a hug on their heads, and they were gone again. Their horizon was no more than the outside of the cottage on the campo and the people passing now and then and not even seeing them. Almejita has now been adopted, and we couldn't in our hearts leave Jack behind. So we were able to place him in a foster family and he is doing really well.
