In memoriam - Pongo

 Sunday, May 23, 2021

On Monday 17 May 2021, our dear Pongo (# 6304) fell asleep way too early. We only got to enjoy him for 8 years.

He joined us in October 2013. Experienced a lot with him, had a nice walk together in forests, swam in lakes and rivers, always with the caravan and especially played a lot with his ball and his ring (he loved everything that was round).

Lately we noticed that he was getting slower. In daily playtime he increasingly wanted to "kiss" instead of play. He also got a nice gray, but also a thin, head. The last few days he has been in a lot of pain and he (almost) did not want to walk anymore. He turned out to have a tumor in his abdomen, fluid in his abdominal cavity and metastases to liver and spleen.

In order to be able to take the pictures at the vet, he was given an anaesthetic. Because he was in so much pain, we decided on the spot that he should remain asleep. Our sweet little Spanish prince, our ball boy, is gone.

Rest in peace dear Pongo, we and your "sister" Puk (Alice # 11517) miss you and will never forget you.
