Jen is a little Podenco who was found somewhere in a field, she had settled somewhere with a farmer. We had to come and get her now or it would not end well, that was the message. When we admitted her we could see immediately that she is in bad shape. She cannot stand on her feet, and at every step she takes. she painfully pulls her body together. She immediately went to our traumatologist and the verdict is bad… The problems she got on her hip and thigh were probably caused by blows. She lives with enormous pain and that is the reason that she moves as little as possible. Her operation must be performed as soon as possible, our traumatologist says. We want that too, but the bill must also be paid. He asks us for 2000 euros for everything together, we receive a reduction because she is a street dog. Another project ... You are scared when the phone rings, only greater worries! Jen looks at us and then you know that you are going to do everything to make this happen. But who are the people responsible who did this to her? They walk around freely and carefree while this poor little Podenco was beaten until crippled. Our Christmas was different from all other years, in every way. And this dog, left defenceless, looks at you and asks you nothing at al. She carries the pain and is silent in all languages. She deserves more than anyone to be helped, and we will do everything to pay for this.
