It's almost Easter, another Corona Easter feast. Many of the unwanted breeds or larger dogs these days find their end in one of the many killing stations. It was also Mirlo's turn, a Bull Terrier, delivered in a killing station - the end of the road.
These days these breeds are only loved by people who know them, who respect the breed and know who they are, with their pros and cons. Too many people adopt them to make themselves look tough, and then things go wrong.
We took him with us, this cheerful gentleman, so grateful to be saved. With us we are now acquainted with a good but sturdy fellow, who is a true Bull, very confident, funny, and knows what he wants. He is social with other dogs, but we are still evaluating him. He is best adopted by a family that knows and values the breed, who wants to educate him, and wants to give him a chance.
We are happy that we saved him from death, and now only want the best for him. A family, an owner who knows what he is getting into. Time and love, but above all discipline and knowledge, are the priority here and yes, a large garden where he can run and work off his energy.
Our sweetheart deserves a second chance, for sure, but then a good and sure chance !!
