Fabienne's diary: Yaco was on the table ready to be put to sleep ...

Yaco had been having problems for a while .He had problems with his intestines, and after a while also got a prolapse. When they arrived at their vet, they quickly decided that it was better to put him to sleep, because the operation was way too expensive, and they saw no other solution. His people decided to euthanise him.

Then I got a call to ask if we wanted to give him a chance. He was barely 8 years old and so small and so friendly. And that's how he ended up with us.

After examination by our vet it was determined that little Yaco has two hernias around his anus, and because of this he was in a lot of pain when he had to pass a bowel movement.  The prolapse was ultimately the result of several factors, and he now needs an urgent operation. Little Yaco will then have to recover and slowly get back in order.

He weighs barely 3 kg and has a very sweet character.
