"Lieve Ghislaine (we call her Gigi) has been with us since yesterday. At 69 cm she is quite an impressive Mastin lady, but one with a gingerbread heart. At the first meeting she was a bit reserved, not knowing what happened to her. But she is very curious and seeks our attention more and more. Here she lives with 2 podenco males and this goes very well. Gigi sleeps with them downstairs on her blanket at night. She is house trained and tidy, everything outside in the garden. On the walk she is still a bit insecure, she still has to discover everything but she walks nicely on a leash next to you. She is sometimes startled by an unexpected sound, but she is very easy to correct and with encouragement and sweet words she walks a lot further. Gigi definitely needs a garden and daily walks. She likes that our 2 podencos are there but she can also be placed as a dog on her own. She enjoys a big hug and attention. She is rather gentle and not pushy at all. Of course she is and remains a Mastin who will certainly take it up for her family. So knowledge of this breed is important. Or the willingness to learn about this. Who has a golden basket for this big lady with a gingerbread heart? "
