She is just three months old but already has a sad history, as have many other dogs ...
except that Chufa was saved.
We were alerted by someone who had bought a dog from a breeder, but did not know what to do because small Chufa became seriously ill after a few days and had to be hospitalized.
The animal was severely malnourished, weak and had no strength left, she couldn't even stand up and kept falling over. She had to be taken to the hospital ...
Despite this her passport stated that everything was in order. For instance it said that she had been wormed but she was spitting worms from her mouth and anus. According to the passport she had been vaccinated. But that was certainly not the case.
On top of all this her tail was docked and that is illegal. There were a lot of illegal practices here
but the breeder did not respond when a complaint was made for neglect and for docking the tail
and for all the other breaches.
Chufa's owners gave up ... she is now with us. She weighs only 600 grams and gradually she is getting better. She has started eating and sometimes there is even a naughtly little bark.
We will fight for her, as always.
