Fabienne's diary: From dog baiting victim to dancing star of our Jerusalema Challenge

 Sunday 18 October 2020

Our Gentille was rescued by the police after she was found in a shed, bitten all over by dogs, along with many others who luckily could be rescued.  They had a chip and owners, who were looking for them after they were stolen from a garden or a house. Gentille did not have a chip and no one was looking for her.

All the dogs had all been used for "sparring" or "baiting"  as a training dog for dog fighting, in other words used as 'bait'. She looked awfully bad and was a shivering wreck when she entered the Refugio. A very scared little dog we thought, but after a few days we saw her change into a real sweetheart, dancing with gratitude, and always friendly and happy!

Her wounds have healed well, and during our dance for our dogs, our Jerusalema Challenge, she was definitely the dancing star: https://youtu.be/PrhXYeJKuvE!

Gentille would certainly be suitable for people who love Podencos. They are super dogs but need their walk and exercise, and your presence. At the same time they can become gigantic salon heroes. Who would like to promote this dancer to become a sweet salon heroine?
