Fabienne's Diary: Mama Mastin and her puppies at the goat farmer's house

Friday, June 5, 2020

If you end up with a goat farmer here in Spain, you can't get worse. They are really horrible animal abusers; I have seen such awful things in all the years that I have been rescuing animals. These goat farmers are easily as bad as the hunters. And the deeper you go inland the cruder.

Likewise, this mama Mastin and her little ones, who were handed over to us as a miracle of God and who are now staying with a foster family. How lucky they were. Now we can see who can find happiness with whom. One of their brothers and sisters was run over and the body lay for days on the side of the road, where the farmer passed every day. It did not matter to him, he did nothing about it.

Unfortunately we are not allowed to take the mommy, no matter how bad her life is. We keep asking this, hoping that one day.  She hardly gets any food, so our foster family now ensures that this mom and dad get food from them. When they drive up you see two happy Mastins walking up to get their food.

Tarzan, Golfo, Dulce and Coco are now in good hands and are lovely, playful, cuddly puppies that will grow to be big and big. They will dare to bite at everything for the first two years and need strict upbringing, but will guard your home and family with their whole heart and soul. They are really lovely dogs, but big and strong, children can be knocked over and if they rage through your house there may be some accidents. Please keep that in mind, because we want people to realise what they are getting into. They are fantastic, that's for sure, but their upbringing is intense and should definitely be taken into account, it's quite a project !!
