More lovely people - volunteers and students all with one aim ... to help the dogs.

The students were a delightful bunch of girls, sweet, generous and hard working. And on this visit I was lucky also to meet many more volunteers, some there for a week or so, others visiting for a day.  All offering their help in so many ways. And, of course, as you can see on the last post, the regular workers are also a marvellous group. Here are a few photos - wonderful memories that I've take away with me. To help when I'm back in England and missing El Refugio so much. Some of the photos are blurry - sorry!

Julie and Mike, with Xander, now happily in foster with them in Denmark. The other little fellow learnt to fetch a ball in the field. At first he had no idea but after a while he got the message. So good to see.

Verle in the car park with Rocky, who is now being fostered by Ilse and Frank.

Maddy and Daphne, on washing duties.

Sharon with Truffel.

Ilse with Rocky at the airport.

Ilse with the adorable Louis.

Sharon's birthday - lots of cake.

Ineke, who writes the brilliant Dutch blog, with Polina.

Maries with Fleur - this sweet dog had only just been saved from Los Barrios

Odette, who works so hard for ACE in Holland, with Yazz, Fleur's brother.

Ineke's husband, Peter, with Malfada - who will be another of their special dogs.

Ineke and Peter, enjoying their first visit to El Refugio. They're sure to come back!

Happy memories - Dutch volunteers. The cream, curly haired dog, now called Flo, is going home with the lady in the striped jumper.

From Belgium - Danny and Imelda with their friends and Maries. The boys with Dirk build a small wall round the field to stop our naughty dogs escaping under the fence!
