Safety harness nonsense?

 Saturday 10 July 2021

Almost daily we see adopted or fearful dogs that are missing.

Often because they have an ordinary harness or collar with which they are missing, injured and sometimes even found dead 😢

Loud noises, being approached by stray dogs, strange people, taking your dog to crowded places, wanting to run after a cat or cyclist are just a few of the causes that can cause your dog to escape from his normal harness or collar. Two seconds and he's gone....

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO PREVENT YOUR DOG ESCAPING?

Buy solid and safe equipment. Choose the right products, if you lack knowledge, let them inform you.

These harnesses are for sale at ACE/SHIN.

For the Netherlands click here.

For Belgium click here.

* Choose a good three-point harness in the right size

* Double leash

* Tie the dog to yourself, by means of a hip belt or loop around the wrist,

* Use of a GPS tracker is a plus!

If you think ′′ My dog won't escape, is he or she wearing a good harness? Double leash not necessary?

My dog doesn't do that....." Then watch the video below!

Oh and now that we are drawing attention to safety: Do not use a flex line, but a fixed line!

The box of a flexi line is hard. If this falls, it makes a very loud noise that can make a frightened dog run.

Think about what this does when the flexi leash is trailing behind the already fearful dog on the street!

For your image: Dr dog tries to run away from the sound in panic and keeps running, running and disregarding traffic.

Please people prevent us from having your dog listed as missing on our page and provide safe material!
