Cocosito

Hip Hip, hooray !!!!!

Today our Cocosito is 15 years old.

Nearly four years ago (on May 27th), we adopted Cocosito. This wise old man is such a funny sweetheart. At 16:30 he knows that is exactly the time to eat. If I do not pay attention to him standing there, he jumps up at me and grunts. Co is very playful with our other dog and squeakers. He still enjoys trotting in the street and running round in circles in the countryside.

We hope we are allowed to have you with us for a long time, our little rascal.

Greetings, Maya Chewing

Katia is in fostercare in the Netherlands waiting for a sweet boss. Maybe that's you? ...

Update Katia, 31-03-2017:

Katia, who we her foster parents are calling Pluk  - is a super faithful litte terrier cross, who is mega affectionate and who is therefore already happy to walk freely in the safe places. She must have previously lived in a house, because she is housebroken and walks nicely on the lead and can be home for a few house just with the other animals. She doesn't bother the cat and plays with the other dogs. Plukki is smart, always cheerful, extremely curious, very generous with her professions of love and is so very cozy and present everywhere. She is a great companion!

Her details can be found here.

Sus needs you badly .....

Sus is a sweet, cross Mastin. Quite a big boy. He's now nearly three years old and has been with us for a year. He desperately needs a loving home, with gentle owners who love the Mastin breed. Is that you? For more information click here and you'll also see a lovely little video.

And you can read his story here......

It was the end of a tiring and frustrating week, when Fabienne had spent hours driving back and forward trying to sort out the permits that had already been delayed. She'd just arrived back at the refugio, late, when ... there's a ring on the bell at the gate. There stood a lady, holding poor Sus, and insisting Fabienne had already agreed over the phone to take him. Either you take him in or I'll just put him back where I found him she said, agressively. And there stood this poor, big, skinny neglected dog looking so intensely sad, knowing that she's talking about him and not knowing what's to happen to him.  It's playing more than God! They cannot say anything, can do nothing, just stand defenseless awaiting what their fate will be ... I took him inside, the poor thing. He ate about three bowls of food and kept drinking. We have to go carefully in these situations because who knows how long he had not eaten. He's a whopper. If he puts on weight, he will be a wonderful but very sweet dog. For now the first rehabilitation had to start; forget what was, think about tomorrow ...

Update Albabina

Hi I am Albabina but they call me Donna.
I am fine with that name. It's excellent.
I was just year old and then I got good luck and have been here five years.
Today in the woods I played in  a puddle but not so much that I got completely wet.
I listen carefully when I am running free, which I find great fun.
I like to bounce about but I don't do anything, I just go foraging, Bounce like to conspecifics off but they do nothing but just go snooping. I also like to hunt cats. That is a good game.
At home I am a real sleeper and am very good.
But I really do love walking.
Today I had to pose for the pictures so I did it nicely.
And of course then I got a treat. I am even happier when I can eat.

Greetings from Donna

Just a quick update about Zandra

Shiva (Zandra) is very happy with us and we with her. We have only been together for a day and a half but have already achieved a lot. We are still not entirely there yet but are full of confidence. Skip, our Macaw is / was very jealous and unhappy with his new sister. Shiva is very curious and always wanted be with Skip. But, as you can see in the last picture, I am now able to sit with two dear darlings on the sofa.

We will keep in touch with updates.

Greetings

Fam Rijk

Hail

Hail in Spain and now after four months many in the Netherlands.
It goes super well with him.

You can't tell now that he was ever used for breeding.

The first two photos were taken in Spain and the last two show the way he looks now.

Arrivals, Schiphol on March 29th

It took a while, but here they were - Abiba, Marcela, Sixto and Trufa. Four small dots on their way to their forever baskets. Their new owners were super happy.
