Baza

Baza has been with us for over three months now and it is as if it has never been any different. She has adapted very quickly to how things work with us, with the help of our male Jack Russell, Sam, from whom she copies everything.

That does not mean that she follows all the rules indiscriminately, protesting here and there is part of it, according to her. But there again, Sam again will take over and show her some rules.

Like Sam, she is crazy about people and finds other dogs uninteresting or threatening: they think that loud barking helps.

Top three Baza activities: lay on your back and get tickled (effortless 24 hours a day), eat (go crazy), and run very fast on the beach or field (almost flying low).

When we hug Sam, she intervenes very quickly and tries to push him away, then we have to be strict. The meaning of “waiting Baza” now slowly dawns on her and she manages to wait three seconds for her turn.

Recently we let her run loose from time to time (where possible). She will keep a close eye on us. However, coming back is sometimes difficult. Today she walked into a ditch that was slightly frozen with a thin layer of snow on it. You can then shout whatever you want, she happily runs on. Luckily she only weighs 5 kilos, but I saw myself walking into the icy water to save my dog.

In short, a real Jack Russel: sweet, tough and fearless.

We have become very attached to each other in a short time.
