Background to the Galgo - Sustain & Pamper action

If you ask dog lovers to name a Spanish dog breed, almost everyone will be the first to say a Galgo. Not very strange because this fantastic greyhound not only has a distinctive appearance, but unfortunately also often makes the news in a sad way because they are often thrown out after their useful working life is over. Often they are left somewhere by the hunters to die alone or come to an end in some other horrible way. Increasingly, they are also taken to a killing station by the hunters themselves.

And from these killing stations, ACE has rescued a record 50 Galgos in recent weeks!

These are now with us ... safe ... and will receive all the care they need first. Some will need a little more time than others, but hopefully we can get them all running to their golden baskets quickly. That is our priority now. They are not yet up for adoption on the site, but are already available for virtual adoption.

1. Donate a Galgo Pamper moment

Our Galgos deserve to be pampered in addition to their medical care *. You choose the amount you would like to donate, this can just be a few euros.

We ensure that they can enjoy a delicious bone or tasty cookies and of course are happy to share the photos of the great Galgo Pampering moment.

* Of course all our dogs deserve this and the rest is not forgotten.

2. Virtually Adopt your Galgo at EUR 15.00 per month.

With this you sponsor the monthly costs for food, daily and medical care of your dog until he can go to his golden basket. Because they are not yet on the site, we will assign one to you - in consultation. As soon as they are on the site, we will mention that you have virtually adopted the dog. We will of course keep you informed of the developments of your dog.
