In memoriam Juleke

Message from sad adopters: "A few weeks ago we had to say goodbye to Juleke (ACE Dinky), a real top dog that we were allowed to adopt 13 years ago through Shin|Ace. Juleke was already in Belgium, so we could meet him live and the It was love at first sight on both sides.

Still some doubts arose after the home visit, were we the right family for this dog that apparently liked to make escape attempts? ;-) We are very grateful that the adoption was allowed to continue and that we were allowed to have Juleke with us for 13 beautiful years. He was an active and spirited dog that had a lot of love to give. A friend to everyone, especially with our daughter with a disability we clicked very well. He was very careful with her, she also liked him more than other children. As if he felt that she too was special and that they had forged a secret bond. The last year was a bit more difficult: he became deaf and developed serious joint problems, which eventually prevented him from going for a walk (which was his long life!). We miss him very much, but we take comfort in the fact that he got 13 extra years and walked and lived until he was completely exhausted.

Rest well now Juleke, you have earned it, beautiful dog of ours! ❤️
