Our Rasta in our midst, what a sight!!!
She came in with her fur matted to the point that it was hard to see her. She could barely move because of the barred tangles that gradually made her motionless. Ever since her mistress died, she was banished to the patio, never coming off there any more. Her owner didn't want to know anything about her, right from the start and now that his wife had gone, things hadn't got any better. He just didn't look at her; he threw her some food every day reluctantly. That's it!
Little Rasta went with me to the hairdresser, and a completely different dog came out, as you can see. Since we are overcrowded and more than overcrowded after our visit to the killing station last week, I took her home. When she got home, I wanted to be careful because of our big family, but she decided otherwise. She immediately jumped in between the big family, and because everyone was so bewildered, the ice was quickly broken and she now just walks among the dogs and the cats. She is overjoyed. Running freely in the garden, playing with small and big friends, a revelation. She slept peacefully at first in her basket next to the bed and when I woke up … Well …
She is a super cool character, super social, and always happy and sooo grateful...a topper and a lovely girl!!!
