On arrival last week I saw an insecure little man. He quickly clicked onto me.
However, things went "wrong" when we got home. Our dominant bitch Luna wanted to show him immediately who is boss. Otto's response was grunts, which briefly escalated to a lot of noise. As a precaution, we kept those two at a distance from each other for two days. Our mastin Basiel ignored Otto.
Since then, all three get along well, but Otto remains insecure. He often seems to ask for my approval. When I'm there, he's my shadow. When I isolate myself, Luna is the boss and Basiel the playmate. 😊
He did scare us yesterday when he went into the pool😁. My son quickly scrambled in and got him out. I notice that he now realizes that he cannot get out of it himself. Nice to know that he likes it, so we can go swimming a little further in the surf pit this summer 😉.
He is incredibly sweet, smart and handsome. We're working on his insecurity, but we'll be fine.
