In memoriam Cinta (ACE Basse)

 Wednesday, April 7, 2021

With a lot of pain and sorrow in my heart I had to say goodbye to my beautiful sweet girl Cinta (ACE Basse) on Friday April 2

She was 9 months old when she came to me and had been in the shelter in Spain for 4 months (history unknown). She was a fearful and insecure dog who really had to learn everything because everything was new and scary: I myself was scary, being in the house, watching the TV, walking outside ..... everything.

With a lot of patience, time and love we went through the whole process together and she came loose and became herself. She went from being an insecure, scared dog to a stable, confident and strong dog. And from the moment she was allowed to run free she found out that running was really the best fun in the whole world !!! And then I found out that there was a lot of hunting in her because she really went after everything, everywhere (especially geese because they make a lot of noise when you chase them 😆)

Man man man how I have 'struggled' with her and how hard I have had to work to gain her trust so that she accepted and respected me. This so that she listened to me and, for example, did not run away to go hunting.

My beautiful girl had almost turned 13.5 and thanks to ACE she came into my life and I was able to take care of her for 12.5 years. Thank you to everyone at ACE for all your good work and thank you for letting me adopt her.

She will be greatly missed by many ❤
