Fabienne's Diary: Flippy, Flory and Flappy eventually survived, ...

 Saturday, April 10, 2021

It was a black day in the history of our organization ... January 8, 2021. We had a terrible night, our refugio flooded and with our team we tried hard that night to save who we could save... Dirk and I were that night and are still very proud of our team in Spain, young people, but what young people! So proud of them...

We saved the lifeless bodies after they almost drowned in the dirty, aggressive and inevitable river water. The images are etched in our memories. Veerle and I rubbing and rubbing at the desks, trying to resuscitate, ... Tanya and Victor flew back and forth, trying to save lives, Kelly and Melanie, Noelia and Wendy, ... Everyone, ... And then the vet who ended up keeping the CPR going with us for hours and hours, ... Most of them got through that night too , but afterwards the pneumonia started, the infections ... It ultimately cost us 21 lives, ... There were people helping that night but I don't even know their names, ... We couldn't thank them in the hell of that night ...

These three little sheep are for adoption from today, having fully recovered after 4 months, ... They are now playful, grateful, young dogs who now also want to have a chance to have a house and a home, an owner or family, who gets to show them happiness and a place where they can finally come home!
