Fabiennne's Diary: Bossi -12 years, and they couldn't take care of him anymore!

There he was. Old, neglected, could hardly stand on his feet. Those accompanying him were people who did not know him, so to speak, but his owner had died ... As so often the heirs fought for the bank accounts, the house and some more, but the only ones he had loved, they dumped them with us, literally and figuratively.

We took him to the vet for a check-up, with his painful sores and matted fur, from which even maggots crawled out after inspection. His condition was extremely worrying, worse than initially thought. He could not stand on his feet, he wanted to but it didn't work anymore. The vet did everything to get him some improvement and to make sure he would feel a little better.

We all hugged him, everyone knelt down by him for a moment. He kept looking so sweet with that beautiful faithful face of his, he remained grateful to us until the last minute. For a moment he had people around him who loved him.

This morning he left us …

We were no longer able to straighten out the neglect of the last months, years. The damage had been done and however we hard tried, we did not win this battle. The heirs were rid of their only burden, and they went went off with the words: he is very sweet ... You can imagine what is going through our minds now, but better not write it down, it would be too bad!
