It's a few days later and it is going very well with Mieke (and also with us). The journey back from Amsterdam was a breeze. She lay down very quietly in the basket and found it fine. When we had stopped for a traffic light she got up for a moment and when we started driving again she lay down again. We went for a walk with her a few times on Sunday, but she didn't get any further than peeing. At night she was very quiet in the basket in the hall. We were happy with that. We didn't have to barricade the stairs. On Monday morning she also went to pee alone and when she returned she thought that she could poop in the room. That was a pity. However, it has been the only time so far. She is very curious when walking, it is of course all new. She doesn't think laps of 7 km are enough, because when we get back she still has a lot of energy left. The short walking route goes past horses and after the first time finding them to be scary beasts and thinking that attack is the best defence, she is now completely used to it and just walks by. Still looks sideways for a while, but that's it. She likes everyone along the way, she wags her tail at everyone and when people say something, the bum also goes back and forth. The neighbor was also allowed to come in from the back. Very nice. So for now only positive things! Her name and commands don't mean anything to her yet, but they will. During dinner she already neatly lies down on her rug. Very good! We are afraid it will take a long time before we can let her run loose outside, because she has a fascination for cars. Has no preference for species, prefers to chase every car. When I cross the viaduct, she is completely under the spell of all those cars on the A7 that pass below us! If she could, I think she would jump off the flyover. When we're over it she wants to go back and down the side. This still has to be practiced often! We are happy with her and have a good time with Mieke.Greetings,
Jimmy and Gea
