Our dearest, most loyal “Moby” (Kazan) passed away on October 26th. Our story together started 9 years ago. On the way to our house from Zaventem, he was quietly sleeping in my lap all the way. At first he was expectant, scared and lay under a bush during the day. After 5 days we went for a walk for the first time, together with his 2 dog brothers, Moby was startled by a loud noise and escaped, we panicked, but no worries he was waiting in front of our gate, that gave us a good feeling, our house had thus become a safe haven after just a week. Moby was a special dog, a Perro d'Agua, unlike our 3 other dogs. He always wanted to be with me. When I was not there, he was waiting at the door, faithful to his innermost fibre... the love was mutual . We had a fantastic time together, a real dream dog at home and on holiday. The last year Moby had deteriorated a lot, it started with osteoarthritis, cataracts, he saw almost nothing, and became deaf. He slept a lot and only wanted to walk around in the garden. His best dog friend / little brother "Zimeon" died 3 months ago, that was also a great loss for him. Is that why it happened so quickly? Suddenly for no reason, Moby had paralysis in his hind legs and was very weak. The doctors were puzzled, photos and ultrasounds showed no abnormalities; the suspicion was a heavy stomach / intestinal inflammation and the treatment seemed to be successful in very small steps but then it went in the wrong direction. Moby had a fever and a lot of pain, despite the medication. He did not recognse us anymore ... we stayed with him for a while, cuddled him a lot, he calmed down, he smelled us and so he passed away softly, lovingly. Moby, our / my unique, loyal dog, we miss you but cherish the wonderful time together. Lots of love Eva, Christophe, Raphael, Cezan and Evi
