Fabienne's Diary: Our lucky souls had just set off for their forever homes, as a mum and her seven puppies arrived.

It is currently 40 degrees in Seville and there this mummy was found in the bushes. She'd been taken in by a lady who had a lot of dogs but did not look after them, there was misery and neglect everywhere. Sometimes people think they are rescuing animals, but without the necessary care it can often get out of hand.

It was the same with Marieke. She sat there with her offspring, we don't know who the daddy is. Mummy is a cream of a dog, she let us take her puppies and put them away, and trusted us with all her frightened heart. What a sweety!! The little ones are still so small, they are weak because mama is also very skinny. But we will do everything we can to make them happy and to nurse them back to health.
