Our Rover, a big softie, was languishing in the killing station. As a big boy he had little chance, the many little dogs all left, but he was always left behind as his days counted down. He would be put to sleep after 10 legal days during which they were entitled to a reprieve. When they were up, his caretaker at the killing station asked if he would get some more time, hoping that someone would come after him, because he had such a sweet character.
But again for the next 10 days there was no interest except for the easy smaller dogs. When I heard that, the decision was made quickly and we went toget him. He may be a big boy, but a lid fits on every jar - And for Rover it will probably be a very good owner who adopts him!
Who will lose their heart to our big softie Rover?
