Brunotti ... Bruno he is listening better to us π
He arrived in the Netherlands on Tuesday and is super sweet. His basket is next to my bed and he slept until the alarm went off. That is early with us π walked with him for 5 hours and then took a nice nap on the couch- he was snoring curled up by my knees. He follows me everywhere and so far very easily. He has just robbed a few construction workers, who were doing their work, of their bread and in the pet shop he just decided to choose some goodies for himself. Food is a big thingπ ....
My 5 dogs in a row ...
From left to right Cava, and then my 4 Spanish adoption woofes Hestia (ACE Bella-Donna), Dima (ACE Nalva), Pepijn just arrived on Tuesday and Gonda (Croqueta). Delicious eh π Pepijntje has not yet got the full benefit! But you will see what a difference it will make to a dog if it has a warm nest. At night, like everyone else, he sleeps blissfully in his bed.
Big paw from them all πΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπ
Introducing our partners in crime ....

We, two partners in crime, live with the people in the offices for the time being. We are a team that will captivate you, hug you and bombard you with our beautiful looks. We are almost going home! That's the good news. But there are still many more who are waiting to go home. So please adopt a rescue!
Look how handsome we are !!

Loki ..
“Hello! Finally I can report nice news to you π Loki has been here for a few days now and he is already used to the new situation. Together with my 2 border collies, with whom he is already good friends. Loki is very curious, wants to see everything and literally 'jumps' into his new life. He had to wait a bit; but now he can also enjoy his own home π
Fabienne's diary: We don't win every battle, ...
Friday, May 29, 2020
It was a sad week. We were very busy, but that's okay and we are used to that, but the seven puppies that were in a cage in front of the Refugio, bone thin and full of festering wounds, full of ticks and fleas - all were seriously ill and all died, one by one.
As if that was not enough, even more puppies had to die, and we are all feeling bitter. We don't know who dropped off these new puppies in front of our gate, but they knew what was going on with them and we knew nothing. Everything was done to save them until the vet said they couldn't be saved anymore. This fight we have also lost.
Now everything is being done to keep our other puppies safe and healthy, but also the 13 puppies that were in a box at Isabelleke were all found to be seriously ill. Many of them have pneumonia, and are also in the clinic.
We never give up, never, but how hard it is to be confronted with the willful atrocity of people again and again. Who could do this to us, knowing that we are a Refugio, sheltering lives that are vulnerable - they throw them in the trash, or in a dirty smelly box at our door. We want to save what we can save and everything is put on the line to achieve that. And then comes the reality that this battle cannot always be won.
It is hard and always incomprehensible when young lives slip away from you ...

Chewed some bones, watched Netflix with me, happy together on my very big bed. Lies down very quietly in the crate when he's had enough.
Dream of a dog.
Thanks to everyone for the good care.

I would like to thank your organization for the smooth progress of picking up the dogs in Overijse.
Xavi (ACE Mister Coucou) was very scared when we got him but was already blooming when he was in the car.
He is a playful, sweet puppy who loves to cuddle with his owners. He learns very quickly and sits down quickly for a cookie.
We are over the moon with our new friend, all thanks to you!
Many greetings
Matthias and Marijke
A message from Jaffa (ACE Dara).
Since Feb 4, 2020 I live in the Zaan region with dog and cat friends and I really enjoy myself there. Very nice that I can experience a beautiful life now that I am already 11. That is nicer than in the Refugio at ACE, although all employees there are super nice & sweet.
My 4 cat friends and the 2 dog friends Mokum and Blits received surprising news from our owner last week.
ACE Straffen Hendrik (refnr 17050) is also coming to live with us. Our new boyfriend gets the name "Melle" from us. We are very curious about when Melle will actually come, because it is of course all hassle with the Corona.
We must have patience and if Melle is coming, we hope to hear something soonest.
ACE-Riddick at home with ACE-Almeja.
A beautiful tough shepherd with a ❤️ of gold. First he needs to get some strength; he has already slept for 2 days ... π€ then time to learn nice things and to try to grab Almeja's ball ππ€£

Thank you dear Shin people !!
"I would like to thank all the volunteers who helped transfer the dogs to the adopters on Tuesday 26 May in Overijse (Belgium).
The truck was delayed a lot, it was very late, all the adopters were waiting and chaos was imminent, but that did not happen at all. This fantastic team managed everything in the perfectly. Thank you very much for that.
And I want to thank the volunteer who carried my dog Valentina to the car. That was so very sweet! "

Message from the sad adoptive: "Three years ago I adopted a huge wild cat through SHIN. Scratching, biting, one big chunk of energy. With a lot of love and patience, this little animal has grown into the sweetest, most confident, trusting male. I have never had a bond with an animal like I had with him. Sunday he was hit a long way from home. I miss him terribly. He made me so happy, just because I saw how happy he was here. huge. "
“Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation. ”
Antonito
Antonito (called Nito by us) is having a great time. Slept well, has already had a nice walk and neatly done everything outside.
In memoriam Boop -
Thursday 28 May 2020
Almost 11 years ago I picked up this Spanish lady, Boop, together with her sister Betty from her foster home. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to her on Monday morning. I want to thank you for the opportunity I got to have her with me. This dog has given not only me but also the people around me so much. So satisfied, grateful, stubborn and sweet. We are going to miss her!

The arrival of a number of lucky darlings in the Netherlands at the Aeres equestrian center. After such a long wait - more dogs united with their adopters
Wednesday 27 May 2020
They were eagerly awaited by the adopters. It was a beautiful and emotional arrival, the corona lockdown meant they had been waiting for them for so long. Thank you to everyone who made this possible ... the adopters for their patience ... the volunteers for their hard work and Aeres Equestrian Center for opening up their location.
We wish all dear ones a very loving life❣️
To see the video on their arrival, please click here. It will take you to the post on the Dutch blog.
Tiu
Our 14 year old was adopted! So heartwarming. His owner is a groomer and look - nothing more beautiful than a rescue. His whole world has been saved.
Quincy (formerly Asterix)
Wednesday 27 May 2020
Hi,
Quincy has been here since February and it is all going perfectly.
He is a sweet and timid dog, which fits perfectly with my other slightly bossy dog Cely, also a Spanish beauty!
They really found themselves and where one is, the other is also.
It really is 8 legs on a belly.
There couldn't have been a better match!
Greetings.
Ellis
Fabienne's Diary: Our Fea, not handsome, but such a beautiful character, ...
They come from everywhere, kittens and puppies, it knows no boundaries anymore. The many efforts that we have made with our castration projects, for years on end, seem to have gone completely adrift during the almost three-month lockdown. You see groups of dogs in the interior, Podenco's are left to their own devices, and one pregnant mother after another appears everywhere because they have been dumped and thrown into the world.
So our "Fea", a little almost-black pussy, was delivered to the killing station. Someone asked to save her, poor little thing. She is an ugly duckling, but she has such a sweet character, and chatters all day. She is still severely malnourished and skinny, is not yet as she should be, but we do everything we can to make her a healthy pussy. This little spider may not be the prettiest, but she is the sweetest and funniest little thing - a lovely character,
